PAX South is almost a week away, and I can’t wait for it. For those who don’t know, PAX is a gaming convention held in multiple regions of the United States. The conventions involve concerts, panels, tabletop areas, and PC areas. In other words, there’s pretty much everything there with tons of variety.

When I attended PAX East back in 2010, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, since it was the first gaming-centric convention I had ever been to outside of Comic-Con. I hope to meet some of my favorite YouTubers there, such as HarshlyCritcal, who regularly attends PAX.

I’m also planning on buying a few tabletop games while I’m there, such as Mansions of Madness, Star Wars: Rebellion, or Scythe. As I’m a big fan of tabletop games in general (and absolutely can’t wait for the Dark Souls 3 tabletop game), I’m going to be devoting tons of hours in the future with my friends with these games. As there is also an exhibit hall to browse, I’m going to be on the lookout for any potential news on Mass Effect Andromeda, Nier Automata, Nioh, For Honor, or even Breath of the Wild.

There’s also an interesting new horror game releasing soon called Perception, the work of devs from both Visceral and Irrational. So hopefully at least small tidbits of new news will be shown on it. Definitely bringing my DS as well, to play more of Pokemon Sun and Moon.

Also this is incredibly doubtful, but hopefully I’ll be selected in the Omegathon. The Omegathon is basically a contest between 20 contestants, and the winner travels to Japan as the grand prize. Each round is completely random, varying from a claw machine to the original Goldeneye, or even a brand-new unreleased game. So hopefully things will go well there, even if it’s a 1 in a million shot. There’s a Mortal Kombat X tournament being held, so I’m going to go for that. I’ve been practicing Ermac, Jason, Goro, and Raiden recently. To put it simply, there’s just so much that goes into PAX that it’s near impossible to put everything that I want to see or am excited for into one post. So I’ll attempt to do continuous updates on each day that I’m there.
