As some & most fans of the Metal Gear series know by now, we got a Remake of MGS: Snake Eater!…. for a pachinko machine…..this is old news & originally announced last year. Pretty much Konami completely Remade the cut scenes of MGS Snake Eater in the Fox engine.
For those who don’t know A pachinko machine is a Japanese version of our Las Vegas slots. It resembles a vertical pinball machine, but has no flippers and uses a large number of small balls. It’s primary use is for gambling & smoking cigarettes.
Hideo Kojima was the mastermind behind the Metal Gear franchise. His last MG game was Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. Sadly there was some drama that went on between him and Konami too the point that Konami would not even let Kojima go to the 2015 Game Awards to receive his Award for Action/Adventure game of the year MGS Phantom Pain. He has now since left Konami and started Kojima Productions along side with Sony. Again…OLD NEWS.
You would think Konami did this Pachinko thing to piss Kojima off & to make a bunch of money…well I would at least. So Here what I think is going on with all this.
- Konami REMAKES MGS Snake Eater in the Fox Engine completely
- Releases a Pachinko machine with the cut-scenes in it
- Waits till Kojima gets closer to releasing Death Stranding
- Strikes like a snake and releases Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater in full with the original voice of snake(David Hayter) & full original cast!
Now you have to admit this would be a top seller. It would be HUGE for the vast fan base of the franchise. The reason Konami would release it along side with Death Stranding would be out of spite in my honest opinion. Possibly to deflate Kojima Productions first AAA release numbers, because we all know Metal Gear Solid Survive wont be doing that.
This is all speculation & theory for now. But why would Konami not? They are sitting on a gold mine & they have already put money into the MGS 3 Snake Eater, Fox Engine footage we have seen for that Pachinko.
We can all dream right?
